For all you agility dog owners out there...do you feed any kind of supplements to your dog? At our last show, someone recommended that we add muscle/joint supplements to Bentley's food.
I've been to pet stores and have seen a lot of glucosamine/chondroitin type things.
Do you feed these things? Would you recommend them for a dog who does agility a couple times a week? If so, do you have any brand/type recommendations?

I give my guys once a day Glygoflex 2. I can buy it on line or get it from my vet. Sometimes you can find it some pet stores.

It was suggested to me, by people on here, my instructor, my breeder, and others to give my dog a supplement.
Because I had to buy some Cosequin DS for my older dog, I decided to buy some Cosequin Bonelets for Koji, who does agility. I just bought it, so I obviously have no idea what it'll do. The bonelets are more for active dogs, whereas the DS is supposedly for dogs that are "slowing down". I dunno. Just thought I'd throw it out there. lol.
btw, I also tried a liquid glucosamine for Miko (eldest), seemed to work for a bit, but not so much anymore. Koji seemed to get an upset stomach from it. That's why I'm trying the chewable bonelets.

k9kreationz - that's interesting. I am looking for supplements for Deska - he is limping a lot more lately and has been balking at the jumps at flyball (but not agility) so I am getting worried. Nuisance though I can't find the bonelets in Australia.
