I believe it was OntarioSheltie (sorry if I got the wrong person!) that asked me to post a tutorial on how I trim Sheltie ears.

I definitely trim mine different! I trim for show, though, and not for pets, so maybe that's where the difference is.

I was taught that method by Romeo's breeder, and she trims for show.

I believe I take the hair a bit shorter than she does, but that is just out of convenience for me.

I am not claiming that that is the ONLY way to trim ear hair (as stated in the preamble of that entry). Rather it is one way to trim that I find particularly simple and would be easy for any pet owner to use.

I'll be checking that out- I trim Callie's because she had an ear infection when she came to live with us so I try to keep it very clean now.
