Haven't seen you in a long time, I hope things are good. Your blog is referred to all the time, with regards to feeding raw, grooming and Furminators. :)

It turns out that Romeo and Duncan are related through Am Ch Sunnybrook's Heritage Spirit ROM ROMC! I thought that was rather interesting.

      Hey Dayna!
I just have a quick question for you!
Tonight I gave Caliber a raw chicken wing, he was unsure at first, but then started chewing it like mad. He loved it. I was just wondering if one whole wing a night was enough for him? He didn't eat the whole thing tonight, but he had an extra meal due to an upset tummy. Should I just start off by one and see where that goes, and if he eats it all in one sitting give him another one? I'm just not sure, and I don't wanna give him too much/too little. If you could let me know when you get a spare moment I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi. I just visited your web site. It's great! You have wonderful dogs! I noticed that you have links to feeding raw food. Do you feed them raw? I started to feed Chinook raw since I got him. I like reading what you have to say. Thanks

      Hi Dayna:
Thanks for replying. Yes, Spencer is currently on a low dose of Potassium Bromide once a day. He'll have blood work done one month after starting the Kbr. After the second seizure which was within a two week period of the initial one, the Vet and I agreed he should be started on meds. He had a third GM eight days after the second one and now, of course, I am counting every 24 hour period without a GM as a good day. I did get Rescue Remedy and now every time I leave the house with Spencer, the bottle is in my pocket. Yes, I may be certifiably nuts. I did get lecithin but want to check with the Vet first before starting adding it to his food. And for taurine, he is getting a hard cooked egg four times a week now - and that makes him quite happy! And speaking of food, I do need to start investigating starting him on a Raw diet ASAP. For the most part, I don't use anything with chemicals for cleaning. I will be sure to have enough ice on hand to make an ice pack and will follow your recommendation on how to use it. Do you mean that using it may stop a GM before it actually happens? After his third GM, his post seizure behavior was pacing which he did for 90 minutes straight. I hope using the Rescue Remedy might help him in that regard. P.S. I'm sorry that in my first message I spelled Gio's name incorrectly. Thanks again!
