and this is why we run

¨At the peak of tremendous and victorious effort, while the blood is pounding in your head, all suddenly becomes quiet within you. Everything seems clearer and whiter than ever before, as if great spotlights had been turned on. At that moment you have the conviction that you contain all the power in the world, that you are capable of everything, that you have wings. There is no more precious moment than this, the white moment, and you will work very hard for many years just to taste it again. ¨

    — Yuri Vlasov, Soviet weightlifter

    What is your mental game?

My mental game is pretty poor. My trainer tells me that all the time--that we need to work on it.

I actually just saw that Daisy Peel is coming to town to present her Clear Mind seminar--sounds like just what I need!

Daisy is one of the few presenters that addresses mental game issue, another one I like is Kathy Keats but they are very different in the approach.
Daisy bases a lot of her seminar on Lanny Bassham methodology which I love. Some people however think his work is too dry and self centered. Seems like people that need to figure out actual process setting goals, getting into your best fit pretrial and during the trial do really well with Lanny, but people who have need and jitters of different kind, like ¨I am not sure I am good enough, I worry I will forget the course, what if I am not going to do it right, I have never done anything right before etc¨will benefit far more from Kathy approach I think.
Have heard good reviews about Jane Savoie book, but have not read it
