Default UGG so frustated, help!!

Okay so..Jene is about 7.5 mo now, been the perfect little puppy..sleeps all night, doesnt bark, extra cuddly..not to mention potty trained in 3 days. and now all of a sudden i was talking on the phone and i look over and right in front of me he squated just a little and weed!! weed right in front of me!! and alot too, it wasnt like dribbles..but he finished outside so i guess thats good but what in the world would posess him to do that!? i mean hes alone for 3 hours every morning with no prob and then when im home of all times just up and does it in front of me. is this like a snarky adolescent thing or something :/ im just ignoring him right now because im so frustrated. is this going to be a regular thing? now im going to be worried when we go to friends houses uggg.. im so mad..

I don't think it's any kind of snarkiness on his part. Even though you think he was potty trained in 3 days, he's not always going to be reliable until he's more mature. Like little kids, they'll go to playing and "forget" to tell you they need to go out. Or they really have to go after having a nap or after eating.

And the number one reason there have been accidents around MY house - something I like to call "operator error". In other words, the dog tries his level best to notify me he needs to go out, but me, in my human weakness and oblivion has just blown the poor dog off by not noticing. Can't really blame a puppy for that!

aww, i never thought of that..i was on the phone at the time, but i did turn around and he had a chance to go to the door, and hed just been out thats why i felt like it was personal hahah. but maybe he did think i was ignoring him and couldnt help it. im thinking it was because we were sharing a clementine and it was kinda sour and maybe it was too much juice or something for him and he couldnt hold it? whatever it was ive been watching him like a hawk lol

My Callie did the same thing at about 8 months. She hadn't had any accidents at all for months -- only she did it multiple times in about 3 days. We took her in and she had a UTI, so if Jene goes on having problems, that's something else to consider.
