Hi all,
We have a 5 and a half month old male named Riley and I thought we'd housetrained him, but in the past couple of days we're back to square 1. He has been walking around the house and just letting the pee fall out while he walks. When he goes outside he squats and stays in one place, and when he was smaller his piddle accidents were contained in a single spot, but now he's walking the whole length of a room or two, seemingly aimless, letting it dribble all over as he walks. Thursday he had a trial day at doggie daycare and the behavior started after that, so I'm leaning towards that being the cause. But I'm curious if this is how "marking" behavior begins in males. I guess we just start over? We've got to board him for a day this week and he'll be getting neutered next month too, so I think it's going to be a long couple of months. |

If pee is just dribbling out (doesn't seem purposeful), then I would get him to a vet. That is not natural.
Marking is a purposeful lifting of the leg on an object or in a specific place. I'd say it is rarely done while walking about/doing something else.

While he was at daycare, did he injure himself? Sounds like he somehow lost bladder control? He's not neutered is he?

id agree have a vet check him out...sounds like something happened to at daycare or maybe a UTI or something.. Urine dripping out does not sound like marking..lifting leg on wall or side of sofa is marking
