Default New from Connecticut

Hi I'm Connie

I live in southwestern Connecticut and I currently have two Shelties, one of which I run in agility. I've had Shelties since I was little -- and my agility dog is my 5th Sheltie in my adult life.

I hope to learn a lot here and connect with other Sheltie people.

Default Good News ... and sad news

It's been awhile since I posted. My girl has since earned her AXJ and a bunch of MXJ legs, and has conquered the dog walk phobia that showed up after getting her Open Standard title. On March 1 she got her first AX leg.

Unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with immune-mediated encephalitis and while she is currently doing well on high doses of dexamethasone, there are no promises, no guarantees that she'll recover.

I'm thinking about possibly adding one more dog to our household -- another Sheltie to do agility with. I've had three Shelties before and it's doable -- although I have only had one in training at a time.
