Not your typical rescue. I heard this terrified baby crying in the thickets behind my house, there is a creek and heavy wooded area and I guess she was stuck and couldn't get across the water, the side she was on is fenced. I tried a board going across to walk the plank like, then I drove around to the road with my friend making flashlight motions so I could find it, of course this is at 11pm mosquitos biting and me afraid of alligators or snakes. She wouldnt climb a blanket I threw over the fence but this little 6 inch bit climbed that chain link fence over 5 feet following my fingers till I could grab her. Now she is settled in, loves ground turkey, ground steak, cream cheese, eggs, sweet potatoes and doesn't touch the cat food. I created another monster it seems. She has been here 2 full days and 3 nights, she is sleeping on the sofa on her little blankie and a stuffed animal to curl up to, uses her litter box in the bathroom like a pro and is the sweetest well behaved little bit.
Now if only a sheltie would appear at my door, lol. Don't worry I wouldnt keep a sheltie from it's owner. I have a picture posted for lost pet or a new home, my cats hate her and are afraid hiding in the bedroom and won't come out, we have had to take their food in to them. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/9137/dsc00197mc.jpg http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5918/dsc00203tp.jpg |

oh what a little doll! Too bad your other cats are hostile but they may come around. And perhaps someone will see your notices & claim her. She sure is cute, but I have 2 tuxedo cats right now so am partial to them.

What a sweetie! How kind of you to have gone through such lengths to rescue her. Poor thing. Hopefully her family contacts you.
Just last week we brought in a poor kitty of about 3 months old who was shivering and following us to our house at 11PM on a very cold Sunday night (temperatures were below freezing). The next day our neighbor stopped by looking for her... he then mentioned he also has another kitty of that age that he lets roam outside in case we see them and not to worry or bring him inside. I was not too impressed... we live on a very busy street and it was below freezing with winter just upon us, should a 3 month old kitty really be outside??! Anyhow, I'm not sure if you posted on the internet but if so, maybe you could also post a sign in your neighborhood in case she belongs to a neighbor. Good luck! Internett
she is a sweet looking thing Meldor, I agree with you, I wouldn't trust the judgment on someone who would let a cat/or any animal for that matter out on such a cold night |

In that second pic she looks like she is saying "Yes I found my home and I won't be going anywhere...The Princess has arrived."

This Lil Bit is maybe 7 , 8 weeks old. Teeny tiny, cute as a button. No one has called yet. I do want her to have a Mommy or Poppa to love her.

She's beautiful! We have a tuxedo whose name is Little Bit! Because when we got him, he was just a little bit of nothing! His brother is white with black spots. :) Little Bit weighs 16 lb and Trouble (his brother) weighs 15 lbs.
Both are long and tall and are the size of our shelties! Just not quite as "wide" as the 20-25 lb shelties we have. |

Glad the kitty is OK (and what a cutie!), but closing the thread since it isn't dog related.
