Oh Caro, you poor thing. They do outsmart us at every turn sometimes, don't they? Sending positive vibes for a few good nights' sleep for you and healing for Tully!

Itches are the worst. Just think how luxurious it will feel in a short time to sleep without the worry and the crinkle noise.

Tully is one truly lucky furkid to have such a loving parent and loyal family.

Good best wishes,

Hugs,
Kate

Its been 3 weeks since surgery and Tully's had a little setback, she's having bad sciatic nerve pain. We're hoping it's residual from the surgery so it's watch and wait until her next xray. She had her first physio since surgery and the physio said her back was really blocked so really hoping her back was just ot. I can't tell if it helped - she's slept for the last 6hrs since physio. And yey, a hydrotherapy pool has opened near here so she'll start that in a few weeks. Haven't told Deska yet but he'll be doing hydro too.

Hardest thing atm is the battle of the wills - Tully thinks she should be allowed on the couch and bed and is really testing me (should see the daggers look when I say no) and she's been jumping both on and off! Doesn't help that my parents stayed this last week and let her take liberties. Only 9more weeks to go until she can be a normal dog again.

Woo hoo 1/4 of the way there! Sorry Tully had a set back. I hope that's all it is, just a set back. Hydro therapy is gonna be great for her recovery and Deska's arthritis. Hope Tully makes more positive progress and is back to her ol self in no time.

Hope she gets to feeling better now. Randi is right--you are getting there, though. Hoping for her to feel a little better each day now :)

Caro, sorry that Tully has had a set back and hope it can be resolved soon.

With our Mickey not being able to get on the couch/chairs or bed...I have the LR gated off, but for other rooms we just flip up the chair or couch cushions into a standing/blocking position on the front of the seat whenever we are not actually sitting in that piece of furniture. It works well to keep Mickey from even trying to jump up. And on our bed I have taken one of those little wire folding doggie play pens and arrange it in a square on the bed so it blocks jumping up. It looks strange to see a bed with a wire pen on top...wouldn't make it into any interior decorating magazines, but it works.

Best way to keep a dog off the furniture is to get a cat.

Thank you for the continued update of adventures in Tully land.

Continued good healing,

Hugs,
Kate

Oh no I hope Tully isn't in too much pain! The hydro will really help both Tully and Deska. Maybe at a later stage your vet will suggest some work on a physio ball too?

Poor Tully - not allowed on HER bed and HER sofa.

Funny you should say that - I think the cats are the reason Tully is annoyed with me for not letting her on the furniture. Tully thinks she is the boss of the cats so if the cats are on the bed she should be too - and you can see how that's working out!
