Default A tribute to Earnhardt~

I wanted so much to do something special for Brian this Christmas in tribute to Earnhardt. I have a friend on FB that lives in Japan, and he did the most amazing digital remaster of a favorite picture of Earnhardt for me.

It still needs a frame, but he did an 8x10,and it is stunning. Brian, needless to say was overwhelmed when he opened it.

Earnhardt is so missed, more than words can even express.

Wow! That is simply fabulous! No wonder Brian was overwhelmed.

Oh Michele, that's absolutely amazing. You can see Earnhardt's soul in his eyes. You are such a kind and thoughtful person -- did you know that?

Such a beautiful picture and tribute to Earnie.

When you purchase a frame for it, I'd recommend going to JoAnn Fabrics, or some other framing store (I've found JoAnn's actually has the best price in my area) and have them cut some "museum glass" (different stores call it different things) to the size of the frame you purchase (8x10, matted 11x14, etc.). That "museum glass" will protect the picture from fading and it also reduces general light glare on the picture. It's not that expensive to purchase a piece of glass cut to size. I've done it for original pieces of artwork I've purchased that fit standard frames.

Well,Ernie is so missed in a big way here,we are empty at times without his presence. Since Brian & I did not put a tree up this year, really many reasons why..but I just wanted to help Brian in some way to ease his grief. He cannot even say Earnhardts name without crying. He misses him so deeply. I do to,there is such a void here.

So Earnhardt's portrait is proudly displayed. He will always be in our hearts. Thank you, hugs!! And many of them.

I don't have a JoAnne's..wished we did. But we do have Hobby Lobby. So I am going to watch thier sales, and they often have 40% off framing dept. And also great sales on thier frames, which are so awesome.
It is where I took Mia's portrait to be framed. Thank you for the help.
