sheltie sizes are pretty unpredictable ( think)...
When Milli was 12 weeks old must have been smaller than 12 inches. @ 16 weeks old she 13.5 inches tall. Now, at 18 months old shes about 19.5 inches tall at the shoulders. Shes a pretty big sheltie that gets mistaken for a Collie Puppy / bordercollie. Milli stopped growing around 10 months old I think BUt then grew an inch and a bit after 1 years old.... I like to think shes still growing a little =). one thing, She always had a big head for her body and now its looking more in proportion. The first thing the Vet noticed when she was a baby was how big her head was. The vet always knew milli was going to reach above 20kg for a healthy weight and he seems to be right so far... Shes around 20kg now... |

What if a puppy is 6 months old and almost 13 inches, is it done growing?

I wouldn't think so, but as others have pointed out, the actual rate of growth at that age may be hard to predict. Make sure he gets good nutrition and he should grow to his full potential.

they're usually not done growing until at least they're done teething. It's really hard to tell though when they're done growing.
