Default Hello From North Port fl.

Tyler is a year old next week. He is a male sheltie. My third one. However this one tends to bark at everything and anything. I have tried the bark collar, soda can with rocks, spray with water nothing seems to work. If anyone has suggestions I certainly would appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum. I can't give you advice on the barking issue. If you came to my house, that would be very clear....

Wink

We have four barking Shelties so no advice from us either. We did get one debarked as she was far worse and more reactive than the other three. The breed was born to make noise.

Hello!

You can try this, which I have seen at Cesar Milan and practiced several times.
If she barks at xx - turn to her - say "Scht! and force her to go back.
Is this is not enought you have just to push her with two fingers at her throat like a short "Hey" to get her out of her barking mode.
Take the right as leader to decide what is a threat and is worth barking.
I had done with Steven and have no problem. Also others which had that problem have recognized that it work.

Greetings!

Margit
