Question Anyone in DFW that can help me with glueing/taping?

I know there's a pretty big community out there in the DFW area. I have a 9 week old pup who's ears are now pointing to the heavens and I'd love to get them glued/taped. Really, I'm just looking for them to tip or fold in half.

Does anyone know of a groomer or breeder who can do this for me or show me how? I'm willing to pay someone to do it correctly since I'm pretty sure I'd make a complete mess of both myself and little Scotch.

Thanks!
Scotch's mom in North DFW.

Where is DFW??

There is a host of threads here on how to glue or brace. I am sure someone will chime in to show you a good referance post.
I would start in the "grooming" threads,as I am pretty sure you will find many.

Have you asked the person that you got your dog from for help?

waiting42, have you contacted any of the local breeders or rescues to see if they know anyone? I know there's DFW sheltie rescue in the area (think they're in Arlington? Maybe Plano) so they may know a local groomer who could help if you don't want to do it yourself.

Thanks Greenepony-that's a great idea. My breeder is in Oklahoma, so kind of far for a live tipping lesson .

Thanks!

You can use the ASSA website to find breeders--or a local contact in your area.

The best way to learn is to have someone show you.

There is a breeder in NC,who is also on FB. She put out a question last night to get feedback about ears. Her mom is well known to be one of the best for show ears as far as trimming, setting etc.

The question she put out was,if anyone would be interested in a video showing owner on how to trim, set & basically do ears. The overwhelming response was huge.
I can't name names here, but if anyone is on FB,and on her friend list,I'm sure ya'll saw the post last night. If you want to know her name, inbox me,and I can share her name.
