My dogs eats grain-free, high-quality food and it doesn't stop them from eating poop. I've tried everything from pineapple, tabasco sauce, for-bid, mean tenderizer, etc... nothing worked.

The only thing that works is picking up her and my other dog's poops right away.

I'm watching their every move now when they potty as I know there is no other way round this. Darla still doesn't like me watching her potty, but she'll have to go sometime

It's comforting to know that it isn't only my sweetfaced little angel who does this. She's on a grain-free food, healthy diet, the whole bit. She is a delicate little princess...who eats poop. argh.

Both my boys do this. Took me a while to realize that Romeo wasn't really being 'good' overnight, but that his brother was cleaning up the mess !

My boys also love love love bunny poop. I have 2 house rabbits and the dogs have always cleaned up after them. I don't worry about that too much as the buns are vegetarians so their poo isn't too nasty (not that I would eat it LOL). Plus it's not that much, just a little pellet here or there.

And of course they love the 'pony fudge' when I take them to the barn. Best.Doggie.Treat.EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER !!!

Funny you should say that, had the exact same happen here. Wondered why Hugo had suddenly stopped pooing in the night! They always leave a little smear of poo on the Lino so I know poo munching has happened overnight. Weirdly though, it's only Hugo's poo that seems appealing, neither will chomp Darla's poo.

From the get-go, Lady has been an entrenched poop eater. I had never had my own dog or a sheltie. When she was a young pup I would always go out with her. She knew I would grab it as soon as it landed, so she would turn her butt towards her mouth so she could catch it as it came out! OMG, I thought, is this typical sheltie behavior?

As the snow is finally melting here, she has been out enjoying flash-frozen, newly defrosted droppings from herself and her brother Sparky. She comes in with poop breath. Has anyone thought of a beverage that dogs could ingest that would freshen their breath?

Sparky has seen Lady going after poop so he has tried it for himself. He is not as entrenched as she is, but unfortunately he follows her lead, for better or worse.

These are the same two dogs who won't take a chewable pill, won't eat a baby carrot, but will go after a cold, dry, well aged piece of poop.

I was out on poop patrol a little while ago. Now that Spring is in the air, I hope the smell of poop is not.
