I love Orvis dog beds -- they last forever -- but they're unbelievably expensive! We got all ours when Orvis did a "dump" sale at the Dulles Expo Center, where they went for between $29 and $49. We bought a bunch over a couple of years (now they've stopped having the sale). I even found a gorgeous one I'd seen in the catalog embroidered with the name "Layla!" I guess since they used it in the photo shoot, it turned up at the sale. How lucky can you get???

I called customer service and they said that the bed is out of stock, and that all they had was a medium bed for $120.

I'm planning on going to a local store (once the snow clears!) to see if I can get a better exchange, but I'm not too happy. I'm willing to pay the difference of a small the medium bed, but I'm not paying $60 more because the size problem is their fault!

Not sure if you have a Burlington Coat Factory by you, but we just went to one and found AWESOME dog beds for $20 and under. Really nice ones. And they had a huge selection. They had the animal planet ones and some other good brands. Kind of an odd place to find a dog bed, but the selection by ours was awesome.

I have some from one of those sales also, I think I paid $20 for them something like 14 years ago. They have stood up really well.

Glad to hear that they last. I was able to exchange the small for a medium at our local store at a discounted price. The medium is huge and I think both shelties could fit!

Default Discount stores

Was shopping at TJ Maxx last weekend & in the corner of the store they had probably 40 nice dog beds in all sizes for very, very low prices. I got Rocky's gel bed at Burlington Coat Factory factory for about $25.00!
Looks like I'm going to have to get a 2nd bed for Ashley-I keep catching her sleeping in Rocky's!!

At Christmas Gabriels had the Orvis dog beds. Of course I found out after the fact. The large one with the pillow, $17. I was told it was selling for $25 with a coupon off they got it for that $17. They have Big Dogs.

Yep and I will look at TJ too. That is an odd place.

My poor dogs have pillows I throw in the washer. Seems like Dirt Ball Diva I am constantly washing them. I bought them at the Family Dollar Store. They are decorative bed pillows. Cheap $7.

From Big Lots I have two floor deco pillows they have also. Pillows all over the place.

Sam's Club (never had this bargain again). Huge dog beds for $17 dollars with zippers on the cover so I can wash that too.

Can ya tell my water bill ain't cheap. LOL!
