yes, it's true.... I was scared of the ducks, lol, I admit it!
This was after a really long hike with three border collies in the River, but turns out Toffee is a natural, whereas Spruce didn't get the idea lol

Of course I know nothing about herding, but my friend said that her girls (that's what she calls these ducks, lol) worked better for Toffee than any other dog she has had on them, including her own, LOL... but she's a really nice Lady so I take it with a grain of salt, but I admit I am rather proud of him and now obsessed with learning more about this duck herding business!!

Your sable is terrific! Oh yes, that's in the dogs DNA! Love it!!

Your blue dog is gorgeous, would like his goose cooked and in pate on crackers... :)

    Great job!

Belle is my chicken herder, she gets them when they fly over the fence into the neighbors yard, and helps put them in the coop at night.

Spruce is like my Dusty, he doesn't have any herding instinct. You tell him to get the chickens and he gives you a look like go get them yourself!

Toffee did great! That looks like it would be a lot of fun, but like yours, only one of my two would be interested. Roxie would sit next to Spruce :biggrin2:.

even being so freaked out by them, hahahaha, I now think I totally need to get some ducks ;) I also thought they were huge, hahahahaha
Once I know where I will be hanging my head for a few years, if I get a house... lol I so would get ducks now!!!
They're actually rather sweet, they are harmless, feel really light and warm to the touch whoddathunk it?
I know a few of you have ducks n chickens etc, it's pretty cool!!!!

    LOL
Spruce said Bring it on Lady, see if Birch would still herd those killer humungous ducks if he'd get a chance ;)

Spruce is an odd duck (pun intended, lol) he doesn't like pressure AT ALL, if he thinks something is expected he goes all show pretty, lollll, stands there etc
He hates to be wrong, even by his own standard so he feigns disinterest.
If I would put effort into it, I think he'd come around, but he's fine with disc and agility, there is no shame in that ;)
I like my lil blue weirdo hahaha
We'll be disc buddies together, instead lol
