We have three kinds of cones in our retinas and dogs have only two, so they have what I would call 'extreme' red/green color blindness. I teach about color blindness in my biology courses,

interesting....my daughter has Achromatopsia...lack of cone vision.

I have read that dogs can easily see things that are pink...this true ?

No. According to this site http://dog-vision.com/, to them pink would just be gray-yellow depending on the shade.

This is unfortunate since Missy has a ton of pink stuff..
