Default Performance evaluation...

I took Justus in to see a vet in town that has a terrific reputation. I was a little intimidated by her prices, but I trust that I bought a very good evaluation.

Good news, his quads and hamstrings are well developed and we don't have to rush to get hip films. She confirmed what I did know about the boy, a fairly straight front, not much reach but makes his prance very cute.

He has a long back and needs to develop the core, we are already working on that but she gave me a few new moves to try on the balance ball.

She found a very ouchy spot on his back, poor Justus! She did an adjustment with the activator, and gave an injection of joint juice. He really liked her until that...

Big weenie boy seems to be feeling better now though!

He has some supplement to put on his food and we discussed his future.

Agilty "lite" and maybe novice titles are do-able, but this body won't hold up well to a more serious career. She said he won't be very fast, he just isn't built for that. I told her that obedience is my passion and she said that would be just fine, so would tracking and herding. I forgot to ask about lure coursing, but I won't pursue that, leave that to the speedy dogs.

I think he injured his back this spring with a really bad frisbee catch, I won't ever ask him to do that again! I thought his rubber body was fine, but here it is months later and well... at least now I know.

He's a little long in body and a bit cow hocked, but I find him very handsome, and Dr. Michelle did too.

That's really cool! You're lucky to have someone knowledgeable like that near you. At least now you know his strengths and weaknesses and can work towards improving some and avoiding others.
