If ya ever are driving around the ATL and see a car with a purple bumper sticker and a cartoon Sheltie that says "My Sheltie is Smarter Than Your Honor Student" wave at me! I also have a round Sheltie Nation sticker on the back of the car.

I'd really love to learn more about the Sheltie club in Atlanta. I did a lot of their shows in the mid-'90s with my dog Neechee (even got Novice A HIT a couple of times).

Neechee was my heart dog, and I lost him 2 years ago Easter Monday at the age of 17-1/2. I adopted another Sheltie named Bela last June from Sheltie Rescue of Georgia. She's 5 years old, and a former puppy mill mama. Needs training DESPERATELY, but had such a difficult time adjusting to living indoors with people who love her, that I just haven't done much towards training. As much as I love Bela, and our relationship is still growing, not a single day passes that I don't miss and mourn my tiny little boy.

Hi Jaynie, I am pretty sure we met at the rescue reunion last year. I was there taking pictures of the dogs in costume and ... chasing after Bobby and Justus. Bobby is SRGA rescue # 997, formerly known as Tyler.

I will send you a private message about the Sheltie Club, we would love to have you come and visit and if you like ... join us!

The next meeting is a good one, the awards banquet. I think we are going to Provino's at the Mall of Georgia :yum: Will send the info soon as I get that confirmed...

Okay, I know this is TOTALLY off topic, but I am currently at work and right this very second (as I was reading this thread) I've been working on some stuff for our store in the Mall of Georgia (I work for Bath and Body Works). Small world!

Then I think you must come down and supervise the inventory or something, on club meeting day, the garlic rolls would be sooo worth it! :)

Default Pictures from Georgia Shetland Sheepdog Club Herding Day

Susan -

We met you, Kunuk, and your husband Bruce at the Canine Ranch for the herding day sponsored by the Georgia Shetland Sheepdog Club!

Like Kunuk our Pippa Rose had a GREAT time letting her instincts kick in and herd those fuzzy sheep around the pen :-)

If you do a search using "Pippa Rose Youngblood Facebook" you'll get a link to Pippa's Facebook page where we've posted a bunch of pictures and a video from the herding fun. Pippa has a public page so you don't have to have a Facebook account to access it.

If you leave your email address on her site we can email you some cute pictures we took of Kunuk both in the pen with the sheep and when he was posing on the cooler for miss Joan during the club meeting.

Remember that Woofstock is this Saturday (May 12th) starting at 10:00 AM at the Suwanee Town Center Park. LOTS of vendors there providing free samples along with lots of things to buy for our fur children! There should also be some demonstrations of agility, flyball, and disc dog exhibitions. Lots of fun to be had for everyone no matter how many feet you have

Hi! I live in Snellville. I had no idea there were so many from GA on SN. I lost my heart dog 1 yr. ago and now have a Sheltie that is such a challenge compared to the last one. I also have a rescue, Rusty, that thankfully is easy and well behaved. Finley, the challenging one, is taking Agility classes now. It really helps. All his more annoying traits are put to good use in Agility. I don't know much about trieball but, it sounds fascinating. If you guys put together a team I'd love to come watch and maybe participate.
