I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with Shelties and human vitamins...mine may have ingested some that a houseguest carelessly left on the sofa; they vomited (unusual for them) a couple of days later. All is well now--we've been to the ER vet and assured that both dogs are fine, and that the vomiting was more likely to have resulted from a virus or eating snow than from the pills, but since the Internet offers contradictory information (imagine that!) on the dangers of human vitamins, I am wondering if I panicked too much or not enough when I realized what had happened.

I've heard they're dangerous to pets. I try to keep a close eye & never leave them where the pets can get to them.
If one of my pets ate even one human vitamin, I'd be taking it to the vet asap, I don't think you over-reacted. I'm glad they're okay now

I don't think you over-reacted either. I'm very glad your pups are OK!
