not sure if this is in the right spot, if not feel free to move it. I figure i will ask here because the Great pyr forum im a part of is not very active and i have a question. Jenna is 9.5 months old (70lbs, and 26.25inches) and we decided to go ahead and start her on adult food now (BB large breed). but we have a question about the amount we give her. she has been getting 4c a day of puppy food. which is the bottom end of the recommendations for her size. but on the adult food bag, for her size it recommends 3-3.75 c of food. so do we drop down her food by a cup? or keep feeding her 4c for a couple more months then drop it down at about a year?

I don't know much (anything!) about big dogs or puppies and how much they eat.
But I can tell you how I determine how much to feed my two...I keep an eye on them. Does she feel like a healthy weight? Can you feel her ribs with a thin layer of muscle between them? Or does she feel more rounded? Use that to determine whether to increase or decrease the amount you feed her.

Yes I also know nothing about large breed dogs since ive never owned anything larger than an oversized sheltie!! but what ive heard from other dog people who have large breed is you dont want to have them too large or grow too quickly as it can cause hip/joint issues and you dont want excess weight on them...If you can feel ribs its a good weight if not cut back.
Just my .02 cents though...
