I'm good with the one blue and one brown eye
not sure that I could handle two blue eyes- have seen some almost psycho looking dogs with two blue eyes

One and all - they are all my favorite colors. I like plain faces and flashy feet!
Cranberry says thank you and you can throw his frisbee any time

For me it's not so much about colour as it is about expression. I've seen blue merles that I find unattractive and some that just about knock my socks off. Reason is because the head is not right or the pattern makes it appear so. Tri coloured with an amazing head and eye is.....amazing. Sables can be too light or too dark but usually soft looking so they get away with it. Bi blues and Bi Blacks can be plain looking without a good head or eye or enough white. I've seen some outstanding sable merles that make my heart sing. Eye colour, I prefer brown but wouldn't turn away a lovely head on a blue or bi blue eyed dog Having said all that, when I am ready to get another dog it will most likely be another Belgian just because I love them. They have been a part of our home since 1979. The good news is that there will always be shelties in our lives because of my daughter and she has a really good eye for a dog. She better, she grew up on the show scene and was always bugging the sheltie breeders for a dog for junior handling! BTW any colour and head has to have a body and temperament to go with it or it won't get house space here - well unless it's a rescue like the Tin Man.

Do you mean like this one? This is just about my favorite head shot of my Kali, she had really symmetrical markings and the sweetest personality ever.

Now that is indeed a lovely tri!

Melli is balanced but without the blaze. Eyes a little too beady though. But hey, she needed a place and she has a good heart.

What a cutie. Looks like all she wants to do is be your friend and give you kisses.
