Luckily Missy hasn't been bothered by thunder yet (crossing fingers!), but my cat taught her a new trick. Now she knows how to climb up onto my small printer table and stick her nose between the curtains and look out my bedroom window. That's all find and dandy until she starts woofing in the middle of the night. It's not her normal bark, it's a low single bark. It wakes me up and scares the crap out of me, because I'm like... "what in the heck is outside my bedroom window??"

My sheltie angel Jasmine HATED thunder and always barked at it. Same thing for fireworks.

One thing I don't miss about Hollie. She hated storms and lightening. She would pace and pant like crazy. And where we live you can see and hear the storm long before it hits. Many sleepless nights. We would have to sedate her 4th of July.

Shelby is the complete opposite. If it thunders during the day she runs around trying to chase the sound. She is not afraid at all. If it storms at night she doesn't even get up.

No way! Lerwick is a gentleman I put Spitfire in an interior room with no windows and he settles down.

Somehow, I have managed to acclimatize myself to sleep through thunder storm barkings.

"Uh, Indy Barking....uh....thunderstorm....ok go back to sleep" Snnnnzzzzzz! (Clunk...head hitting pillow again!)

Lucky could care less about the storms. Lil' Lady she wrapped her paws around my arm one night. During the day we had a doozie, so I went in the bathroom with both dogs. Ever since then she runs to the bathroom.

Bathrooms seem like a safe haven. Ain't it fun to be up all night calming them down?

Sca could care less other than he doesn't want to go out to the restroom (he can hold it like nothing you have ever seen) Spitfire goes in the bathroom and calms down. He is on toasy fuzzy duty tonight as it is cold out tonight
