Default Something new, counting noses before bed

I got up this morning, stumbling about the kitchen in search of the coffee, per usual. I dressed and let the dogs out.

It wasn't till breakfast bowls were placed that I noticed I was missing a dog. A fluffy little muppet with attitude, needing a haircut.

I checked her bed, she was not there. I checked the back yard, she was not there. She did not answer my calls for her to come, even when I said "cookie, cookie, cookie!"

Well my nature called and I found her. Seems Ms. Bossy Pants followed me into the bathroom late last night and decided to stay there.

I keep the door closed because Mr. Needle Nose likes to shred tissue.

New routine starts tonight, "goodnight John Boy, goodnight Pa, goodnight Lily.. " and they better answer me back!

Yep - I count noses here since Emma was shut outside one night last year by Dad and I was too tired to notice that she wasn't in the bedroom. Thank goodness it wasn't too cold. Nightly routine now: Night Emma,Night Liam, Night Natalie.

It's funny that she did not make a sound to alert you she was locked in the bathroom. I guess miss Bossy pants may have enjoyed the night excluded from the other's snoring.

If its any consolation, I once left Bacca outside all night long.

He never barked to come back in. He just slept by the door all night, waiting for me to get up in the morning. I can only assume he was enjoying the summer night and full moon!

And yes....one or either of the dogs has been locked into the bathroom all night more than once!

We count noses frequently -- and yes, occasionally someone is stuck in the garage...laundry room...front yard...

Glad she is ok, it is an awful feeling when you can't find them.

Hartley the barker was shut in the guest room the other day and never made a peep. He's also a master TP shredder.
