She first started waking mom up at 5, then 4 am to pee; then a time later she was in the full "P" stance in the house but wasnt doing anything; we took her in the next morning. her bladder was 100% full and no stones on the xrays. The Dr ran a catheter up and felt no "blockage" A look at the urine showed the cancer cells
The Dr. prescribed some drug (It hasn't arrived yet) that is very successful at shrinking the cancer and swelling restoring normal operation of equipment for a while. Not a permanent fix but keep the quality of life going..

I am keeping you, your daddy and your sissy, Miki, in my prayers.

Thank you for sharing that info with us, Chandler and Gypsy were both participants in this study. Chandler fit the no cancer over 8 yrs profile and at the time they suspected Gypsy might have bladder cancer so Donna asked me to send a sample for her to test. ( we all know later she was diagnosed with KD) but I do hope participating in the study helped the future of our breed and your baby in some small way.

Sending prayers.

Eva Saks who has a Senior Sheltie Rescue in California just posted this link on FB it is a new Laser Procedure that is being done all over the Country on dogs with Bladder Cancer. This is just one facility doing it.
