Rachel Sanders has a running contact for A frames technique (for down contacts) that maybe you can use for up contacts also.

You start with a square frame made with PVC that is slightly raised on short little legs on the floor (it should be about the same size as the plank or the contact equipment. Get the dog to stride through the square to the other side, marking and rewarding when you get the number of feet required for your up contact in the box. The box acts like a target for the dog to hit with its paws before going up.

When that's good, place the frame on a lowered version of the contact equipment and have the dog stride through the box on its way up the obstacle. Raise the obstacle slowly and then fade the frame by removing the legs, then one side of the frame each time.

Here's an idea of what the initial training looks like - http://www.running-contacts.com/rcb...angers-running-a-frame-rachel-sanders-method/
