My 9 month old sheltie has had a sudden potty training relapse. He pooped on the rug once this week and twice within two hours he peed right in front of me on the floor.

The reason this is so weird is bc when he needs to pee he runs to the back door to be let out.

I don't know if this is a sudden dominance thing or he's mad at me for something. He's still peppy and nothing gives me any indication that he might be sick.

    Thanks!

This problem often comes up. He's hit adolescence and a relapse in toilet training is not unusual. Fortunately it clears up pretty quickly but you will need to go back to toilet training basics, keep a close eye on him and keep him confined when you can't, also take him out to toilet more often. You may also want to get him checked for a UTI.
