Instead of NSAIDs can you ice her (the non-ice gel packs are better)? She might not hold still but there is a decent chance she will think it feels good.

Just went to the regular vet (Deska had a visit) and had a chat about Tully not doing well. He suggested putting her on antibiotics as a preventative because it's common in this type of surgery for low grade infections to occur without a fever. Fingers crossed it isn't an infection tho - if it gets into the cement that's the end of the hip.

Tully used to like me icing her hip before the surgery - she'd lay on her back spread eagle as soon as she saw the ice pack, not very lady like. I haven't been doing it because I don't know what to ice now - I'll have to see what part of her hip she offers me!

Thank you for posting on Tully's progress.

Awww I bet she feels slighted when people don't wanna give her some hugs, a stocking will do the trick I bet. We all are rather uncomfortable with our beauty on a 'bad hair day.'
