I have a 14 year old sheltie who is the love of my life. He has been a
really loyal friend and I cherish our time left together. He is kind of slowing down but still likes to play fetch. He is becoming quite picky about his food here lately. Actually he has always been a finicky eater. I ![]() I have been reading up on feeding my Max homemade dog food made up of natural meat, like chicken or turkey, vegetables and fruit and of course supplements. I cannot believe what is in some of the dog food they are selling at the pet stores. Horrible stories!! Anyway if anybody has a really good easy recipe I would welcome the advice. I am really on a strict budget so I am kind of limited. But I will alwys do what is best for my sweet Max. He sleeps with nme every night and always ready to greet me at my door when I come home. I get so many compliments on him when I walk him. He is eally the best natured loving dog in the world. When he passes I think I will have to get another pup. Your comment welcome

I don't have any advice (Sorry!) but I do know that several people on here recommend Lew Olson's book, "Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs".

Maybe a little lean roast beef or roast chicken with his food would entice him. Welcome to the forum,by the way. I would love to see a picture of SweetMax...maybe some scrambled egg ?
