Default Shelties Do Understand!

Towards the back of our yard there are still a lot of leaves that were not raked up. When Mally does go poo-poo in the yard (prefers going on walks) he goes out back.

Last Friday morning I was in the yard searching for where Mally went the night before. Could not find it. I said to Mally, "help Mommy, Mally where is your poo-poo so I can bag it up?" Mally went straight to it, pointed to it with his nose then pointed to me, and back down to the poo-poo. Sure enough, there it was mixed in with the leaves! I praised him and told him what a good, smart boy he was.

Same exact thing happened this morning. I was looking, on my own, from last night. No luck. Asked Mally to help Mommy find his poo-poo, and he lead me right to it.

These dogs are so smart and helpful, too!

Too cute. I agree, they really do understand us. When we are outside or coming back from a walk I will tell Sally we need to get the mail and she heads rght on over to the mailbox and waits for me.

Aww that's convenient! Now you don't have to worry about accidentally stepping on poop

Amber is very helpful too with the poo. She sees us pick it up and she does help. But she just can't eat it all.

Sadie does that too. She acts very disgusted if there happens to be poo outside that hasn't been picked up.

Kind of funny, considering we spent a number of years discouraging her from eating it!
