My vote is for hose as snake, in combination with sheltie as sheltie.

Now I want to find out if I can use a "snake" hose for Olive to keep her from a) kitty litter and b) deer poop. Maybe a hose that trains deer to stay within a certain area? That would solve the deer poop problem.

Glad you found a solution to the fence-slamming problem!

Unfortunately, the hose is to short to put on the fence. I don't know if it has the same magic if we don't hold it, lol.

My hose is pretty long. Maybe I can drape it along the fence. It would be an interesting experiment.
