You guys are looking great!

There is one thing I would suggest. Just my opinion of course...Anyhow, go to 3 minutes and 17 seconds in the video. When he's coming off the A Frame and going into the threadle. I would've stayed back rather than trying to get that front cross in and then a threadle after it. I think it was just too tight of a turn to try to get in and then to get around the back end of the next jump, which is why he hit the wing of that jump.

Also he seems to knock the bar in the end of the previous run when he looks up at you and you're already pulling away.

Other than that, you guys did fantastic! Keep at it, you're a great team!

Thanks for your input. I agree I would've handled it differently now. Though I'm not sure what do you mean by staying back and threadle?
Anyway, I saw how judge thought it should've been handled, so..... there was the main problem that we had fault in the weaves and once we make one mistake, it all goes wrong, because I get nervous etc.

I definitely agree about him watching me and knocking down the bar because of that.... he is maybe too attentive at times, so I need to be careful about what I do even when we're already at the finish line.

Anyway I appreciate your feedback

What I mean is after that A Frame you crossed in front of that first jump. I would've hung back behind that jump, pulled him back to you and then sent him to the second jump.

I have a dog that checks in with me and then knocks bars too. A lot of that just comes in time as they get more confident. Also, when I practice, I always make him jump one jump height higher to get him to tuck his feet in.

Oh I see. Thanks for the explanation.

I agree, I think it's about confidence, too. I mean, he's also very dependent on me, always follows me around teh flat etc, too. He's probably one of the most self-confident shelties I've met, but he really looks out for me... Need to work on that one too in our runs

Congrats on a great weekend. I'll have to check out you video later when I'm on a bigger screen. (Some video isn't good to watch on the phone.)
