i've got current dogwalk issues, but on the UPSIDE of it, not the downside, once he gets there he has a 2o2o. I have to work on obstacle differentiation and confidence with him, which is hard without access to a dog walk at all...
Proofing contact as often as I can.
I want to make sure it is rock solid before I label it in trial, cuz I can't reward there... if that makes sense

I work proofing as I am building the behavior. At each stage of training a running, once they are looking solid at it we work around the clock with a jump coming off the contact, turns to tunnels, turns away, distances, fronts, rears, blinds, pushes, and me being ahead and behind. By the time I have a finished running with 95% accuracy I have a dog who I can do anything with and expect the same performance.
We had a hard push off the dw last weekend with no other way to get it done with a running and both girls still nailed their contacts. To me, that tells me they are pretty solid. A push with a running would drive a less solid dog off the contact.
Essentially I work for run fast through the whole contact down through the end regardless of what I am doing.

Didn't we discuss all this recently in 2 or 3 different threads? Can we just combine them all?

Here's one thread that was very recent: http://sheltieforums.com/showthread.php?t=16118

Oh sorry, I was thinking about the "rock solid" start line stay thread: http://sheltieforums.com/showthread.php?t=15714
So maybe there was only one other one. Can we just combine the two?
