Default Online classes- what you might want to know...

Daisy Peel posted webinar on how her classes are run. If you ever wondered how online classes work and what differences happen when you sign as worker or auditor etc. Daisy group include several different people teaching it from Daisy teaching agility and Clear Mind class to Helen King teaching dog structure to Bobbie Lyons teaching K9 conditioning to Kristin teaching human conditioning so topics are varied. It is a bit lengthy because they are answering bunch of questions from peeps.

Personally, I want hands on training.I don't have the time or that kind of money to take on line courses though I do know a couple of people that do this.

I really like Daisys handler fitness class. Im getting ready to sign up for Silvias handling and foundation class. There arent any great trainers to go to here and for me to get what i need i either have to do a six hour round trip to tennessee or do online classes. Either way i have to do most of my work at home and now that i have all of the equipment its not a problen to do it that way. For me it is cheaper to do online classes than doing all of that driving. Plus I can apply what is taught online to several of my dogs vs paying for each individual dog in a regular class.
I wouldnt mind doing others if I could find more thay cover things i could use.
If there were someone closer to home that could challenge me more and help me grow as a handler i wouldnt mind taking private lessons but currently the level of trainer i need to grow at this point just isnt available to me locally.

There obviously pros and cons to whichever way people choose to train.
I have to take ginormous amount of certs and CEUs for my professional work so online classes is my absolute preferred way for that.
As for agility, love that the online world has become a trend in agility! It has allowed me to learn from instructors I couldn't have otherwise experienced.

Silvia has kept all her past classes on line avail to her past students so I am still digging thru my agility foundation and puppy class, lots of info to learn and sometimes I was just not getting the bigger picture earlier so it is f-u-u-u-n!
I am currently in Daisy's handling class and she uses this cool software to analyze runs, like writing over video clips, where shoulders are pointing and whats dog's path, and how early is early to turn etc. Technology is amazing

Run the course- videotape it- catch your own mistakes-correct it- run the course- videotape it- submit it- receive feedback- run the course with feedback in mind- submit again, receive feedback.... there is plenty of running course involved

Nah don't have time to waste for it.I will settle for hands on seminars etc.New England has alot of awesome trainers (Erin Schaefer, John Nys both world team members) so it is all right here in my own backyard and it is a heck of alot cheaper.
