Oh my thank God. How long was he missing? This is just everyone's worst nightmare, so glad it has a happy ending.

That is indeed wonderful news. I don't know any of the people involved but I'm so relieved he is reunited with his owner! Glad it is over and Drake will go back to pampered status! Must have been rough and he must be very dirty and hungry!

I read that he was covered in ticks and was found eating a dead animal on the side of the road. We can only imagine how much this little guy has gone through in the past two weeks.:(

He went missing around April 21/22. The lady who found him is a vet tech.

So happy to hear that Drake has been found.

I hope the owner learned a lesson though. She was walking him off leash when he escaped . . . I would never allow mine off leash in a strange environment.

In fact, since mine are all rescues with issues :confused2:, they are never off leash in an unfenced area.

Really? The dog was loose and lost for two weeks, and was far more likely to have been found dead than brought home alive. I think if there is a finger-shaking "lesson" to be learned, it has been.

I'm just glad Drake is safe and sound. I can't even imagine how harrowing this has been for all involved. So often these stories end sadly, but not this one. Many people put in a lot of time, effort, and funds to find this little dog, and hooray - a happy ending!
