If you read the thread you'll see that he had a bacterial infection, which was the initial rash on the nose and the staph on his belly. His eyes didn't get crusty until he started the 3rd and 4th round of antibiotics. The rash on his nose, then belly were completely different than what is now around his eyes.

He's also almost 12 so you would think he would have had this sensitivity much earlier in his life, if it iss indeed a sensitivity to the sun?

Interesting read, I've never heard of that before. Milo does have white around his eyes, which would mean that his skin is pink in those areas...so no pigment...
How is Milo doing now?

I groomed and bathed Milo this weekend for my parents so got a good look at him.

The staph infection seems to be cleared up. His cyst still hasn't returned to how it used to look and still looks kind of pink, but it also didn't look irritated and infected. I think we'll have to keep a close eye on it.

Milo's eyes weren't as crusty as they were, but they also didn't look any better, just different. The best way I can describe the areas around his eyes are scaly/scaby. My mom plans on bringing him to the vet in the next week or so.

I didn't like how Milo's skin looked. I noticed the last time I groomed him that his skin was flakier than usual and this time it was pretty bad too. I don't know if this is a separate issue or if its somehow connected to everything else that's been going on with him

I tried using a gentle oatmeal based shampoo but it didn't seem to be cleaning him well. After two shampoos I switched to my usual Mane and Tail shampoo and had most of the flakes gone in no time. I also used conditioner and left it a bit longer than usual in hopes that it would condition his skin too.

He's not in any immediate danger and doesn't seem to have any discomfort (that I saw anyway), but I'm still worried about him. I just have this suspicious feeling that there is something wrong with him.

I'll keep bugging my mother to bring him to the vet sooner than later.
