Default Sheltie meet-up - US/UK

Well I finally have a moment to post this, between my knee surgery and Asta's being ill, I haven't had too much time lately.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to meet fellow Sheltie Nation member David, from Devon, England while we were on our tour of Wales and southern England last month. David and his lovely wife graciously hosted us for tea, and we had a fabulous time getting to know both of them, and of course two of his fabulous Shelties, Tara and Blue. Pia was off at the breeder's.

We had fun sharing stories and pictures of the dogs. David's dogs are just beautiful. They are much lighter boned than US Shelties and their coloring is lighter, not much black shading. Both dogs were just gorgeous, fun and very sweet. Not shy like our two. We had fun chasing around in their garden, tossing toys and taking pictures. It was just a super time and a highlight of our trip (only people on this forum would understand that last part!! )

Enclosed are a few pics we took of the Shelties. Ironically, those were the only Shelties we saw in our 2 1/2 weeks in England!

That is SO cool! I'm very jealous.

But really...I've met you, Sharon, so by the transitive property I've met David, right?

If only I'd known you were coming over, although not sure if you made it as far east as Kent but I would have loved to meet you too and for you to meet the boys. Glad you got to meet David and great pictures of the shelties. I often see Blue's sister and other relatives at shows.
