Default Im now Auntie Barb!

Oh my! Long story cut short....Just blogging.....

Had a couple come in to the store, they were buying a poodle, then they weren't. Then suddenly they were buying a Sheltie. And this couple is very analytic and researched EVERYTHING....spent hours in the store looking at labels, etc. And yes, they bought stuff too. I've spent tons of time talking to them about shelties.

Well, today they came to the store with their 8 week old Sheltie pup! I was in puppy heaven! The "dad" started calling me Auntie Barb to his pup. How wonderful is that!

Much better than "grandma" which is what my staff call me!

I want a puppy! A merle????

p.s. the pup is gorgeous....will probably be a mahoghany sable when he grows ups. And so social at only 8 weeks.

p.p.s Treesa, my dear! I'm still your first Auntie.......

Isn't the Sheltie bug contagious? Almost as contagious as the Sheltie puppy bug -- which we ALL seem to have. Congrats, Auntie Barb!

It truly is a wonder! Every day is a new experience, and every day presents something new, but even most rewarding is the customers that come back time and again. They bring their furkids, they bring pictures. They come in to tell us if their kids are sick or have died. And sometimes, they come in just to say hello to the staff and to our store cats!

It's so awesome after working in high tech and high management jobs for 25+ years to be able to go to work each day and look forward to just getting a puppy lick. I wish I had discovered this years ago!

Dear Treesa

Seems I'm Auntie Barb and Grandma to a whole lot of furry friends that come to the store. But I'm still your REAL auntie, truly!

It's just so awesome to have people bring their furkids to the store to show them off to me and my team! Truly, they make a special point of bringing in their kids just to visit with us. I LOVE MY NEW CAREER! How many people can say that everyday!

I have so many stories I could share, but the bottom line is that when people leave my store, they leave happy! It's such a wonderful place to be.
