Default What do you take on walks?

I should get a hunting or fishing vest for all the stuff I take with me on my walks with Olive. Pants pockets: wallet, cell phone, poop bags. Jacket pockets: keys, pepper spray (dogs, coyotes, people if I have to), single baby wipe because Olive invariably steps in her own poop on walks. Treat bag with baby cereal and cheese. Sometimes a 20ft lead (and then a harness, too). I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I'd like to bring a tug toy, but no pockets left.

<--this is for the neighbors watching me carrying around all this stuff.

<--this is for having to carry all this stuff!

^ This was posted on the leashes and collars forum. I thought it looked pretty handy for those of use who carry a ton of stuff on walks (I'm one of those too). It's definitely on my wish list!

We keep a tub of baby wipes in our entryway since the dog park is so muddy so we dont have to carry them.

We usually do not leave the property (there is a .5 mile loop around thats varied enough) so I usually only carry my cell and a bag or two.

A short walk: poop bags, cell, keys

A longer walk with some exercising or with other dogs: poop bags, treats, one toy, 30 ft long leash, bottle of water, bowl, cell, keys, sometimes muzzle (if we have to go by bus or subway)

A hike: see above plus some food for us people

Me, Sally on a leash and some tissues in my pocket. She poops in the yard b4 the walk and I sure don't want to talk on the phone while destressing and we don't usually need to lock up. :

Just a poop bag and the leashes in my pocket.

I've thought about whistle on the rare occassions where Indy won't come back to me when I call.

So far I've never needed anything else. I have a towel ready at the back door if I need it.
