Olive is 14 months old now, and the vet has suggested a switch from puppy to adult kibble. I feed BB chicken and brown rice puppy, and have purchased some BB chicken and brown rice adult kibble. I have two questions: one, is 14 months an appropriate time to switch? I should mention that Olive is 15.5 inches, 23 lbs, and probably won't grow much more. And, two: I have been feeding twice a day: 1c in the AM, and 1/2c in the PM. Would it be better to feed once a day at this point, or stick with the twice a day schedule? My last sheltie ate two meals/day for most of his life because of health issues, but all my other fuzzies just got one meal a day once they were adults. I am wondering what the current thinking is on this.

I think 14 months is a good age, especially if your vet recommended it. I switched my dog at 10 months old. The age to switch really varies depending on each dog.
I've always fed my dogs twice a day.

Always 2x a day to feed here, and never had to switch,as they were on an all life stage food from the time they were brought home.
Current measurements of food: Trapp,Jasper~ 1/2c (2x) a day and this is closely monitered,as they still need a bit of weight to loose,especially Trapp. Mia~ 1/4c (2x) a day Blake~ 3/4c (2x) a day
