Default Safe off leash?

Something I am all too familiar with, starting with Che who at 9 months old lost any recall we have build and we have been unable to get him out of dog park...
few Recallers classes later we are at different stage of our relationship but I feel it is one of the most important things that we can have with our dogs...
here is article by Patricia McConnell, love it!

Very interesting...Sally's recall is lousy lately-she will run through the thicket beside our house and up to the great danes' yard and bark at them like a maniac. She doesn't run off to anywhere else but will not come back until mission accomplished. I don't take her out off leash b/c of this but DH does and so now this is what she does. I need to come up with a plan...
