Poor Dante, and poor you! I'm sorry to hear about Dante's injury and sure hope it heals on its own. I guess the good news is that Mickey has company. The two of them are so cute together! Maybe they'll keep each other occupied....quietly! Get some rest, Trini. It sounds like you're going to need it.

Well, just damn the bad luck, as the saying goes . . . if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. I will keep your little Dante in my prayers along with little Mickey. We will hold fast to the "plan" that Dante will self heal and no surgery will be necessary. Sending good thoughts and well wishes to you and all your family. :fl :hugs

Thanks for all the good wishes for our two "invalids". Everyone had a peaceful night and are cheerful this morning...keeping them quiet enough is definitly going to be the big challenge.

Mickey's incision is healing beautifully (pic)! It looks really good and stitches come out next Wed...then one more week of the E-collar to make sure he doesn't damage the incision site. He will be SO happy to say good-bye to that collar!!!!!

Dante is moving well this morning only a barely noticeable favoring of his leg. So, all is on the "up" and hopefully will continue that way. :smile2:

Holy moly, Trini! I've had a run of weird "emergency" vet things as well. In less than a week I found a horrible red circle on Asta's eye and then a HUGE abscess on Brooke's cheek (well hidden by her hair). I kinda flipped out both times, luckily my vet said "come right down" both times as they were in their lunch break period and they squeezed me in.

Luckily, Asta's eye is OK (we did have to go to the specialist, though) and Brooke's abscess got lanced and drained and after flushing twice daily, hot packing and antibiotics she has now healed up also. No idea how either injury happened, either.

I was pretty wiped out emotionally after all that so I can imagine how you feel. The picture of your two patients on the shared bed was so cute though. Sounds like Mickey is making great progress and Dante may heal up without further interventions.

You deserve a break, girlfriend!!! :hugs to you and pats to the boys.

I guess the stars were out of alignment this past week...sure hope they are back in place now so we can get rid of this run of bad luck! You definitely deserve a break too.

I had a long talk with my gang today and told them that Mom and Mom's bank account are both "on life support" and they had better not have any more emergencies for a while! LOL

I am glad your little ones are better. Give them a hug from me. :smile2:
