Default Eating grass and clover is that normal?

We just got Mozart for the 3rd day now. Everytime we go out for his exercise walk and potty walk, he would roll in the grass for awhile then lie down and start pulling grass and/or clover. We don't put any fertilizer or herbicide in our grass. Sometimes he eats them sometimes he doesn't. Is that okay? Or is he not getting enough of some nutrient in his food? We feed him Orijen for puppies in the morning and evening, during lunch we feed him fruit (so far its been apples only). Thank you in advance.

All dogs will eat grass. Mine will literally graze around the yard at times.

My girl eats grass every once in a while, but when she was a puppy she always had to have something in her mouth.

If we were in a room with a white floor, she would run over to any little speck of non-white and put it in her mouth. Sometimes she ate it, sometimes she spit it back.

She seems to be doing okay

Chelsea was a big grass eater, but, there was one plant (a weed?, No, not That weed...some things are too good to share...), that she loved. She'd strip it bare of leaves. Have no idea what it was, but it was a favourite.

I don't think I've ever seen April eat grass.

Phew! Good to know that's okay for him. Just today, he went out and start to strip some of our hedges! Right now his favourite seems to be those really thick blades of grass and clover leaves. Our little substitute for geese.

Mine won't always eat grass but she seems to have fun pulling it up and throwing it in the air like confetti. I think they just enjoy it.
