Admittedly, I only really stayed in the obedience area but it seemed like a good turn out. Once Olive settled down we had a nice time. Everyone was so supportive- DH even remarked about how nice people were. It was a nice touch to have a Sheltie specialty running concurrently so it seemed most of the Shelties went home with extra ribbons, especially in rally.

We still need a lot of work on our long stays for novice but Olive finished her BN under a judge who taught her first obedience class (and ran into her CGC trainer who we will show under next month, I'm slightly scared about that, she's notoriously tough)

Olive, sweetie, you are a champion! Who needs the Superbowl when you have Olive?

Congratulations on your new BN title! Sounds like you and I both have a lot of work to do for the Novice class.

We almost got a Q on Sunday but the dog next her wandered off and it was all over. She was so nervous she was focusing on the judge instead of me. I'm sure our instructor (also a judge) will have ideas on what to work on. We work within Open and Utility goals in class so the inability to do that relatively short sit is sad. Oh well, we're trying Rally Advanced next month, so that will hopefully go better:fl

Edan's pretty good on his sit and down stays. In class we have a few dogs that fidget. get up, bark, etc. (In the defense of two of the three, they are pups just over a year old.) Edan will look at them then look back to me with a what the heck are they doing look on his face. My issue is the heeling and recall.

I forgot my Saturday score until now. We jumped 19 points in Novice between Saturday and Sunday :eek2: Not sitting around so much, it being emptier, and being more familiar with the ring apparently makes a big difference with her
