Default Confessions of a rescue sheltie:

Hello Forum Members: My rescue Sheltie "Robby" has composed an story of what it is like to be a rescue Sheltie. He did get a wee bit of help from me to translate his "dog" into "English". This story is posted on the Minnesota Sheltie Rescue web site, and we would encourage you to go to that site and read it there. It is ----

www.mnsheltierescue.org

He would like to hear from as many of you as possible concerning his thoughts. Yours aye, Will (and Robby)

Robbie - your post made me both smile and cry. Take good care of your Mom and Dad and of course they will of you. And if they teach you commands in Gaelic, go for it. It will be your second language. Sorry - third language.

By the way, we do like to see your picture.

What a sweet little guy. There are some beautiful dogs available for rescue on the site. I feel so bad for the puppymill rescue's but they seem to be making progress. Praying they all find loving homes soon.

Very sweet post Robby, I enjoyed reading it and it was well said by you and your Human.

Someday, I plan on giving a Forever Home to a rescued sheltie.

You're a good dog, Robby! You are going to make your humans very proud of you!

Hey Dawn, two of the puppy mill dogs on the MN Sheltie Rescue site, Rosie and Abbott, came from the same mill in Missouri that Lady did. Poor babies! They are all so precious!!!

McKinley here.

Anthropomorphizing......well.........I just absolutely do not know what to say to that.

Giving human characteristics to a non-human creature. Well, I am just flabbergasted.............I am speechless (and if you know me, I am NEVER speechless).

To the skeptics who say, we are "just dogs and have no feelings or soul," I say, "you have never loved one of us then."

What a great story that was. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it is so true.

Take care and keep writing,

McKinley the Mess Maker (a.k.a. MMM)

Baxter sends greetings to a fellow rescue sheltie and says you told the story very well. You are a great spokesman for rescue. You make all of the rescues dogs very proud.

Default Confessions - Thanks

Hello All: Robby joins me in thanking all of you for your kind responses to his story. We both hope to hear from more forum members today. What would happen if every responsible Sheltie owner adopted one additional "rescue" Sheltie? I bet there would be very few looking for homes. Please everyone, give it some serious thought. Kind regards, Will & Robby
