Experiences with the older sheltie please!

    Well, on one screen, he looks like a tri-color. On the other, I can see a case for a blue merle. So, it's like that stupid white and gold or blue and black dress. It must depend on the screen and the settings. Can we just settle with, "He's a cutie?"

    But in real life, is his back more of a black or a steely grayish color?

    I think it is more of a grey colour with black splurges. Can you see in this photo? They are off lead (in a very safe area) here, though the leads are still trailing in case someone does a runner!). SUCH GOOD DOGS!

    I see it easily in these pictures. Yup. You've got a blue merle there. Give them a hug from the US.

    Thank you! Now, I know what I have at least. I think the UK shelties are very different to the US shelties...or rather, these two are. They are very quiet. My german spitz could out-bark them any day. Mind you, they've just arrived so probably won't bark much for awhile...

    I like how he looks kind of like a tri, though. Pretty cool. They both look handsome and sweet :)

    Collectively you can still say they're 9, since the ages average out to 9, haha!
