Hi! My name is Amy I am...I guess you can say co-owner of 8 month old Missy. I say co-owner because I bought her for my mother, but we live together and I'm training her lol. My mother used to show back in the 70's, and now I'm learning all about it. I hope I got this picture thing right lol this is Missy with my border collie mix Laylah.

Thanks! I have no clue as to what I'm doing! But learning. We went to a local AKC club last night and started learning but we where the only sheltie there... So I thought this would be a great place to connect to other sheltie owners. I've been on this site for 10 minutes and have already learned about better leads and collars LOL

Hi Amy, welcome from another So Cal member! I am about 1.5 hours north of LA on the coast. You will find LOADS of information and support here - you're already off on the right foot by sharing a photo of Missy. She is very cute. Just be so careful of your training methods - Shelties are "soft" dogs, and one bad or frightening experience can stay with them forever, so lots of positive training and set her up for success. I am on my 4th and 5th Sheltie girls right now. :biggrin2:
