  • Hi Gloria
Is your Liam a Belmark sheltie? Ann told me this. Minnie's grandsire is Belmark Showdown, the double Merle. He's got other Belmark as well.

You must be an early riser. You're always the first one on, just as I'm getting lonely and bored because there's no one on the board.

Thanks for all your supportive posts!
Gloria, I'm not sure I ever replied to your comment on my page about Pixie...shows you how often I look at it, LOL. Thanks! Pixie is doing really well on the new meds. Those and acupuncture seem to be helping her enormously. So far, so good. We are thankful for every good day we have! Hugs to you and pats to your pups.
Thanks for your comments on my pictures, Gloria! You can see the progression of our growing herd, LOL...from 3...to 4....to infinity, hahaha!! My photos are mostly luck. And cookies! LOTS of cookies!
<<<<My 1st black Persian cat I called Flash. When I shot a picture of him with flash bulbs (showing my age) his eyes lit up like FLASH bulbs!
My 2nd black Persian cat is named SMUDGE... Since I work in Photoshop one of the tools is the SMUDGE tool. >>>>

    Aww, great names. :)
Thanks, Gloria. :) I thought that Sketch's marking made him look like a little kid's drawing on one of those Etch A Sketch toys...so he became Sketch. :)

Gloria, basically good news for Sketch today. Our vet did a physical work-up on him this afternoon and found some inflammation in both the ACL and the hip on his remaining rear leg, but nothing that he feels will stop Sketch from recovering well long-term. Sketch will be going in on Friday to have a steriod shot in that hip to reduce the inflammation and pain and also X-rays taken just to be sure that he hip is in reasonable shape. So...much more hopeful here tonight.

Thank-you so much for your caring and concern. :)

Gloria, thank-you so much for those links. I have contacted our vet and will probably hear back from him late this evening once he has finished scheduled surgeries and appointments. I am going to read the info you have sent so I can discuss them with him...he is always open to anything that won't cause harm and may help...that is why I love him so much.

Hi Gloria, thanks for thinking of Sketch. We have had a set back...hopefully something our vet can help us with. Sketch has always had hips that weren't serious enough that he couldn't live a good life without surgery, but now that all his back weight is on one hip he is showing pain in that hip. He was moving better the day he came home from the hospital than he is now and it is breaking my heart to see him struggling. As soon as our vet office opens this morning I will be calling to ask what we can do for Sketchie. I will let you know what our vet suggests...he is a wonderful, deeply caring vet and I know he will pull out all the stops to come up with something to help our Sketchie boy.
