    Dogs that own me::
    Cosmo, now 15 1/2 with crippling arthritis and painful disk degenerative disease. He was a sly devil in his younger days, now stays mostly in his quiet room (my husband's office) sleeping with time out for eating a couple of times a day.

    Boomer, a rescue from Triangle Sheltie Rescue, who is always described as "funny" and warms my heart with his kisses and adoring glances. Found out he has dip dysplasia in both hips this year which breaks my heart. He's 9 but I had hoped to do a bit of agility training - he loves to herd squirrels on our 7 acre property.

    Milli, my first foster Sheltie and now our newest addition. Didn't expect to get a 12-week-old puppy but now she's 18 weeks and has
