You left me a message 3 years ago and I have never been back to the website until tonight! Apparently you don't get notified of messages or new postings. The message had to do with my dog, Shanti, and her terrible sound aversion. She is now 5 1/2 years old and she still suffers from it.....or maybe I should say we still suffer from it. We have hired behavorists, trainers, bought aids, calming pills, etc. Nothing has ever helped it. We even bought her a treadmill in the hopes that more exercise might help her but it didn't do anything either. We love her no matter what and we just live and deal with it every day. Thanks for the link to Through a Dog's Ear. I am going to read up on it.

Happy birthday!

It's been a week, and I don't think I can get the pad edges together. I'm thinking it's too late for superglue.

But we are keeping it clean and bandaged when she's outside while we're gardening. I'm mostly concerned about her stepping on something while we're on the trails. I'm hoping after another a couple of weeks it will healed enough that I won't need to worry--yea, right

I have some of that blue solution from oral surgery I had, good idea.

When Luka was recovering from the stitches, did you use any boots? We're going on a camping/hiking trip in a few weeks and am concerned about the continued healing of her pad.

The stitches came out early, and it seems slow to heal. But she is using it most of the time now, instead of hobbling on 3 legs.
